Looks like I missed out on this year's Poppy shirts. The good news is that they raised a ton of money for the Royal British Legion. Have a possible new shirt incoming but other than that it's been a bit quiet as far as shirts go. Congrats to LFC on winning their 8th League (aka Carling) Cup!

Sorry for the gap in communication. We moved from Seattle, WA to Monterey, CA and it's taken us a bit of time to get the shop settled and updated, as well as get ready for the arrival of our first child (in mid-January). I aquired some shirts over the summer and will get those photographed and up on the site in the next couple of days. I'm hoping to snag one of the 2011 LFC Poppy shirts as well!

Just added Emile Heskey's shirt from the Jamie Carragher Testimonial. An absoute cracker of shirt and one that we will treasure. We wished we could have been able to attend the Testimonial and support the 23 Foundation but the shirt is a great reminder of Jamie's accomplishments at LFC!

The latest and greatest in the collection is Emile Heskey's shirt from Jamie Carragher's Testimonial last year. We'll get proper photos taken and uploaded on the site, but that's the latest and greatest!

The new shirt that we have arriving is Jamie Carragher's 650th game shirt. We were lucky enough to see Jamie captain the Reds during that match. We were actually there on our Honeymoon...and through the awesome folks at the 23 Foundation we bought the shirt. Pictures will go up as soon as we get it. Jamie was even nice enough to

dedicate it for me.

All quiet on the match-worn front.

We've got our eyes on a couple shirts that we are going to (hopefully) slowly aquire over the next month or so. If anyone has any information on the Liverpool Poppy Appeal shirts (and if they are going onsale and when), please email me at anfieldshop@gmail.com as soon as possible.

A Dream Come True.

Just returned last night from our whirlwind Honeymoon in the UK. After spending some time in London and Portsmouth, it was off to the real heart & soul of the trip, Liverpool. We had a great time meeting up with Mike Lepic of the 23 Foundation and his wife before the match. We brought home some great items for the AnfieldShop.com on behalf of the charity. After the match we were able to meet some of the players, as seen below in the photos.

Meeting Jamie Carragher

Off to Anfield.

Ten months after getting married, my husband and I are off on our Honeymoon! We are going to spend some time in London and Edinburgh, but most importantly we are going to go to the Liverpool vs. West Ham match in late November. I can't even begin to describe my excitement. The first (and only) time I visited Anfield was after the disappointing Athens loss and it was the end of the overall season. The place was buzzing with school kids, no doubt starting off the summer break with a tour of Anfield. I wasn't able to get a tour at the time, so I just hung about the outside of the ground.

Proper tickets and flights are sorted, and we're off! I'll report on the match when we return.....

New Owners. New beginning?

I am extremely happy with the announcement that NESV has taken over from Hicks/Gillett as owners of Liverpool FC. What stuck me more than anything was that they referred to themselves as 'custodians' of the club rather than owners. Liverpool FC is bigger than one man or boardroom and I think the new owners get that. Adidas came out with a campaign a couple years ago with the tagling "It's not just a badge, it's a family crest" and to me that hit the nail right on the head.

On an unrelated note, we are very excited to return to Liverpool at the end of next month. We hope to catch the West Ham United game at Anfield!

This season is going to give me a heart attack. I can handle a loss. I can handle a loss....but all of these draws!

I am 100% commited to the team (including coaches, players, etc). We just need to find our groove, and hopefully it doesn't take too many matches for it to occur. The return of Dirk Kuyt is good news indeed. We don't have that many players out through injury, which is always good news.

A new Premier League season has started. It's difficult to be entirely enthusiastic with all of the turmoil going on at Anfield. New coach going in, and hoepfully old owners going out. We've picked up a few quality signings but I wish we had signed a striker or two to help back up El Nino.

Stevie G seems to be happy on the pitch, and with Carra's testimonial going on this weekend there's a lot of things to look forward to. I wish that I could join my Merseyside friends but I'll see you soon!
